Why Anarchy?

Why Anarchy?

Some young people choose to be Anarchists because it allows them to express their rebellion from their parents, and the society that they feel has rejected them. They’re thought pattern may include, “you think I’m ‘different’? You haven’t seen ‘different’!” Other people are Anarchists because they are like the youngsters, they want to be different. They want to be on the forefront of progression simply for the thrill of it. Like riding a wave to the shore; they get an adrenaline rush from the counter-culture’s ruffling of feathers among the elite and privileged who have cast this certain person out. Yet, others are Anarchists because from the time the wake, to the time sleep shuts their eyes, they see the inequality, the hatred, oppression, ugliness, and perversion of this culture and its world, and they can’t stand to be inactive. They have to be active, if only to show that they see what is happening and are doing their best to stop it, or lessen its blow upon their fellow brothers and sisters.

I chose to be an Anarchist because I was dissatisfied with the inner workings and misshapen ethics of the two-party system. I was frustrated that when I went to register to vote, I was told that if I registered as a Socialist, that I would forfeit my ability to vote in the primaries. This is their attempt to remove the power of every kind of Socialist. Our vote means nothing. I don’t want to be a Democrat because they are weak, and fail to understand that an entire overhaul of the system and demolishment of the State is required. I fail to see the appeal of the Republican party, when they are the current perpetrators taking away the rights of everyone! With they’re evangelistic super-churches urging their followers to hate and discriminate against anyone who is not like them, therefore less than them; and sending subliminal messages for their more aggressive followers to commit heinous acts of violence towards these “lesser-people”. Everyday I see the people left behind by our “Land of Opportunity”. I discover cases of people that “disappeared”, in this “Land of the Free”. Our bureaucrats are finding ways to get out of trouble, to not get caught committing crimes that should be considered treason. Ha, and they call this the “Home of the Brave”. The only people with any sort of opportunity are those of the “upper class”, the top 1% of this country who are given tax breaks on their millions and billions. The only free people are the heirs and heiresses to those fortunes. People like Paris Hilton, Suri Cruise. Suri Cruise is the toddler version of Paris Hilton. The homeless, the poor, and the blue-collar workers are the Brave of this country. They are the ones that make me proud to be working for the Anarchist cause.

All of these people are Anarchists. None of them are better than the last; they just choose to express their frustration in differing ways. Some may not stay in the movement forever, but they’re presence now, creates a ripple that sounds throughout the movement, therefore they will have a lasting impact no matter how long they live and work in the movement.

As Anarchists, these people understand that they have a great effect on the underprivileged peoples’ day to day lives. When you are being oppressed and you see someone fighting for you, it lightens your heart, if only momentarily.

We need to fight for these people who are unable to fight for themselves, or whose voices are being drowned out! We need to fight along side each other, to lighten each others hearts! We need to know we are not alone!

You are not alone, my comrade!
